Has the pandemic affected you more than you thought? Are you looking for mental health and wellness tips and resources? It can be tough out there. The Community Mental Health Project is here for you.
Join us to learn about Mental Wellness. Participants will engage in a discussion that supports mental well-being and explores wholesome practices in which this is attainable.
This event will take place in person at St. George Library Center .

- Look Inside Living While Black: Using Joy, Beauty, and Connection to Heal Racial Trauma by Guilaine Kinouani gives voice to the diverse, global experiences of Black people, using personal stories, powerful case studies, and eye-opening research to offer expert guidance on how to set boundaries and process micro-aggressions, protect children from racism, handle difficult race-based conversations, navigate the complexities of Black love, and identify and celebrate the wins.
- The CBT Workbook for Mental Health: Evidence-Based Exercises to Transform Negative Thoughts and Manage Your Well-Being by Simon A. Rego and Sarah Fader shows readers how to cultivate your sense of calm and confidence through the power of cognitive-behavioral therapy.
- Overcoming Health Anxiety: Letting Go of Your Fear of Illness by Katherine Owens and Martin M. Antony offers readers cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) techniques for overcoming hypochondriasis and health-related fears.

Community Mental Health Project is a community-informed collaboration between The New York Public Library. Columbia University Department of Psychiatry, and Black Health. to raise community awareness around mental health and highlight resources with a specific focus on Black and Latinx/a/o New Yorkers.
Community Mental Health Project creates opportunities for people to learn and gain mental health resources through animated videos, books, and programs, in English and Spanish.
