Tuskegee, AL former Mayor Johnny Ford, who attended the 1972 convention and a 2016 & 2020 convener, stated that, “We are proud to convene this third historic meeting to discuss strategies that will encourage policy and action from officials, representatives and people at large regarding economic development, education, social justice, energy, health, wellness and other critical matters in our communities  As well, during this meeting, we will honor the legacy of the NBPC founders.  We welcome the lineup of powerful speakers.”

The schedule will include a Presidential Candidates Forum at Bowie State University in Bowie, Maryland.  NBPC sessions will be held at the Washington Plaza Hotel in Washington, DC.  Invited speakers include: President Barack Obama; Sen.
